Flower Therapy

Sharing some flower therapy with you from our morning walks in Florida.
My day starts around 6:30 am with half an hour of yoga and then the donning of my purple gear, sunglasses and off for another half hour of walking. With the weather in the high 70s to low 80s every day I also spend time in the pool exercising.
Yup, daily exercise is necessary for the treats I've been eating like this scrumptious key lime pie surrounded by pretty lines of lime gel.
A lobster roll at a farmers market.
Getting in the mood for the Valentine's Day party we'll have with the grands next week. They arrive Saturday with their mother.
Chocolates from Noela, a chocolatier I like in Cape Coral. Everything hand made and I was able to get in on a program last February where I bring my box in for a discounted refill and a free fill on my birthday. (chocolate therapy)
We haven't seen the huge iguanas that were around the last couple of years but this baby has been sunning itself on a metal beam of our pool birdcage.
The burrowing owl family that lives two lots over is still there.
I discovered a palm tree with a heart in the bark on our walk one day and although it could have had some human help, a perfect find for the month of February.
To my friends at home, stay warm and I hope the expected ice storm is not too sever.

  4. You skedaddled out of Ontario just in time! All the photos are lovely ... well, I'm not a fan of lizards, so that one kind of creeps me out. Those chocolates look amazing, as does the lobster roll. Good thing you're getting in daily exercise!
Nothing falling from the sky just yet at 8:00 am.

  8. The flowers are lovely, Judith. The food looks good too especially the lobster roll. I like your walking shoes and cap. The colour certainly looks like you. Teal and purple look so sharp together. Have a beautiful vacation. We're bracing ourselves for a nasty storm overnight and into tomorrow. Florida sounds awfully nice right now. My aunt and SIL//BIL are both down there too.

    Hugs,
    Sandi

  13. Judith, I love the photos from Florida. My son and his wife live in Cape Coral. Other son was living in Ft. Myers for a while but is back in Ohio. We visited Florida son right after Christmas, and I must say that I "get it" with people living the Winter months down there. It was absolutely beautiful. Enjoy your time there!

  20. Oh, what a marvelous time you must be having! The flowers are simply lovely and a ray of sunshine since all we are seeing here in the mountains is melting snow and mud :)

And those sweet treats...yum! Thank you for sharing, dear Judith. Hugs!

  21. I like your balance of exercise and treats! Sounds like a plan. I've never heard of a chocolate refill program, what a great idea. It must be lovely to be outside enjoying the sunshine and flowers and wildlife. We in the north are all a little envious as we survey our cloudy skies. Enjoy, and have fun with the grands. xo Deborah
