Hearts, Flowers and Chocolates

The weather has been cool this week, no swimming or tea by the pool for me. I have discovered some pretty flowers on my morning walks though that I've captured with my smart phone.
I brought my Valentine teacup and placemats with me to make a few special-for-me teas.
I've been playing around making a few still life shots.
While out for lunch one day we went into Noela Chocolate and picked up 4 of their delectable  sweets that came in a little wooden box. They were very good chocolates and this week's favourite.
In the kitchen every afternoon I put the kettle on for tea.
A bouquet of lavender mums from the grocery store sits on the table.

I'm linking with:
Friday's Hunt (letter G, week's favourite, in my kitchen) - Thank you Teresa.
Five on Friday - Thank you Amy.
Mosaic Monday
No Place Like Home - thank you Sandi

  21. What pretty pictures you made. I hope it warms up for you. My sister escapes the winter too and I'm just happy to know that somewhere there are warm sunny beaches being enjoyed by a northerner. The chocolates are beautiful. Four are all I'd dare have in the house. I'm thinking of hiding the chocolate chips from myself.

We haven't had 'by the pool weather' yet, but almost. This week now might be better, the outside temp showed 80F today. It's supposed to be in 80's and high 70's so we may try it
Thank you for peeking in on me. I am recuperating from an outpatient procedure and am slow in my returns.

  58. WOW- your still lifes (lives, hrm, not sure) are amazing - you are becoming one excellent photographer, lady!

Send up sunny warm weather, please. It snowed all night last night.

My tea society friend from one state over (she lives 3 hours from me, directly west in a straight line) said Route 70 there had a 50 CAR PILE UP in the snow last night. Can you even imagine? Bet it ruined many a Valentine's Day dinner for quite a few of them. I guess the delay was hours and hours and hours.

Be glad you are warm and enjoying it there.

Love your VD tea time. : - ) HUGS! ♥

  61. That picture of the mums is beautiful! And I'm wondering what's in your teacup, candies of some sort? Beautiful colors! I read once that Sarah, Duchess of York, packed a china teacup and took it with her when she travelled so she could enjoy her tea in a proper cup. I thought of that when I saw you packed your Valentine's cup; good thinking ahead!

  67. How lovely and you were so thoughtful to have remembered to take your special Valentine's teacup on your journey with you. The shares are splendid. I have a quick question, since I believe that you are probably my tea expert ;) My favorite tea is Earl Grey Lavender. I am looking for a green tea that is blended with Lavender. Can you think of any that would meet that search that you have enjoyed yourself? Thanking you in advance~
