Scotties and Looking for an iPad Bloglovin Solution

I like Scotty dog decor and have a few things, some of which family has gifted me.
This little guy named Shadow (as per his tag) is on a shelf over my bed with other petite stuffed dogs.
One of our daughters just gave me this tin full of tiny scotty dog shortbreads. They are so buttery good.
Our other daughter gave me the scotty dish that has held in the past candies and spreads, now petite scotties.
In Canada we had our Thanksgiving way back in October which leaves the way clear to bring out decorations now before our US neighbours have even celebrated with their turkey dinner.
It was on my list to find a teapot with cardinals since I collect them and purchased two teacups bearing these pretty red birds. Not able to find one, I purchased this plain red Le Creuset after Amazon Canada sent me a coupon for $10.  It keeps  tea hot even without a burner underneath.

I look after the next door neighbour's home while they're away on vacation and this October they spent over a month in France.  They enjoyed a tour of the Limoges factory and brought back the above charming plate for me.
I hope you have a few minutes to sit and relax over tea with me. Thanks to all who entered my giveaway draw, the parcels were mailed out last week and two lovely ladies will be sipping tea with red cardinals soon.
How many readers use Bloglovin?  It seems ideal for following blogs and really is easy to navigate and use. However, if you like to visit your blogging sisters via an iPad like me, things changed with an OS update not too long ago. Now you have to sign in to Google/Blogger for every comment you want to make. I've had a discussion with other bloggers and they're as frustrated and looking for a fix for this problem too. Morning coffee with my iPad in hand is when I usually visit and comment but I'm not getting around to others as much as I'd like.
Has anyone also using an iPad found a solution?
I'll be linking with No Place Like Home.

  1. Love the little Scottie and red tea pot . Nothing like home made shortbread cookies with a cuppa tea or two ! I use a tea cozy to keep my pot of tea hot, it is one my Nana made of an English cottage over 25 years ago she insulated it on the inside and then crocheted the cottage on the outside and attached the two it works wonderful ! I am still with blogger never switched to Bloglovin as new programs don't always have the bugs worked out so I stay with what has been about for some time and that I know works with all that I use lol ! Hope you get it all figured out . Thanks for sharing

  2. Your scottie dog things are all so cute aren't they! I use bloglovin, but not a tablet or ipad, just my laptop, so I cannot say I am afraid. I did get your comment about the card swap, you are in, swaps posted on Tuesday! xx

  3. I think Scottie dogs are so cute for real and in decor. I love shortbread cookies and this Scottie tin is cute, and your stuffed Scottie is adorable. I've started to put out a few Christmas things but can't get in the full mood yet. Usually once I start I don't stop but last year I had the same problem. It will happen....just slowly. Have a great week Judith.

  4. Hi Judith, Love your Scotty dogs; the shortbread ones are cute and I'm sure buttery good! What a nice little Limoges plate you received from your neighbor. I use Feedly as my reader, but use my laptop, and have no problems. It seemed more user-friendly to me than Bloglovin' which is why I selected it. Have a great week, Judith!

  9. You have the neatest things you collect!

Sure hope those delicious looking cookies weren't really DOG treats, haha.

Sorry about the ipad/Blog Lovin problem - hope they fix it soon - had no idea, don't have an ipad.

I am now seriously in the mood for shortbread, yum yum yum.

  10. Sorry no ipad here so no solution. I love seeing your fun things and collections...Scotties are adorable...really all terriers I think. And a wonderful tea pot. Our neighbors give us gift certificates to our favorite recipes as we do pet sit many times, but wow what a lovely dish for you from France.

I wish our Thanksgiving was sooner here giving us more time to celebrate the Christmas season...oh well, I can enjoy your decorations as mine are still tucked away.

  12. I don't use bloglovin so don't have a solution but I hope you find one. An iPad is so easy to use for most things. Your red tea pot is really cute!

  13. Lovely collectibles Judith and I love that pretty plate from your friend. I don't use bloglovin either but I do have an iPAD. If I hear of a solution before you find one yourself I will come back and let you know.

  15. Your Scotties are adorable! I'm also loving the red Le Creuset teapot which is perfect for Christmas and Valentine's Day. A few years ago, my brother gifted me with a similar teapot except mine is yellow ("soleil"). Hope that the bloglovin issue gets resolved soon. I have trouble "typing" on my tablet, so I always use my laptop to comment on blogs.

  16. I like your pretty Scotty dishes! One of my daughter's friends has two scotty dogs and they are very lively and intelligent dogs.
Honestly I do not like my iPad., Judith I prefer to read blogs and comment through my phone. If my granddaughter sees the iPad she thinks it's for her use, as she likes to watch children's shows on Youtube, so I try to keep it hidden when I babysit her. I'm sure Apple or Google will come up with a fix for the problem with Bloglovin if they get enough complaints.

  17. Lovely Scotty dog, the Scotty dog shortbreads look so funny, almost to nice to eat. You are building up rather a collection of all kind of Scotty dogs things, these presents from your daughters are so precious. You also got a nice Limoge plate, thank you for having a 'virtual' tea with you, it was great.

  18. Oh my, Scotty shortbread cookies! I am in love, my friend :) Scotty dogs are absolutely adorable and I can see why you enjoy them.

    It is oh-so-good to stop in for a visit - how I have missed you and your delightful blog. It's a blizzard here right now and I thought of you since you are a fellow snow-lover. I think maybe I need to go outside with my sweet son and make some snow angels {{smiles}}

    Hugs and blessings!

  20. Judith, my mom is crazy about Scottie dogs! She always has been so when I found a red sweater last year with black scottie dogs on it, Hubby and I gave it to her for Christmas. She was pretty pleased to receive it. You have a sweet collection. The cookies are adorable and I bet they melt in your mouth too. Love the red teapot and the Limoges plate is lovely. The red toile teacup is pretty too. Thank you for joining me and sharing your scottie dogs with us. I must start getting some Christmas decor out too. 'Twill be here before we know it!

    Autumn blessings,
    Sandi

  23. Wow -- a teapot that keeps tea hot! That sounds wonderful, as I like my tea hot, hot. Our daughter got my husband a similar Scottie tin of shortbread last year. Scottie dogs are the cutest! and we love shortbread here. My husband gets the huge tin at Costco; I have to close my eyes and pretend I don't see it! Lovely Limoges plate, too.

  24. Your little scotty is ADORABLE. No i-Pad here so can't help with that. I generally wait until I can get on computer to read and write comments. Just easier for me to see.

  25. No solution found here. Well, things go okay if I remember to open everything in a new tab. I don't always remember. I like your Scotties a lot. They are cute doggies. My aunt had one and I didn't find her quite as "cute" in the fur as the sweet little decor items. Ha!
