Tea on Thursday

The weather has been hot this week so we've spent a lot of time at the beach.
Our granddaughter gracefully posed on the paddle board.
I've been having my afternoon tea every day and found this cute teapot where we stopped to pick up some treats today.
Fern and Balmoral tarts with a brownie for the chocolate lover.
Last week I shared friend Maureen's gardens with her thyme lawn out front. She kindly sent me photos of it in bloom. Creeping thyme is an excellent ground cover to use in place of grass. It remains green and can be walked on however, when flowering, there will be lots of bees.
It's been over a year since I've done a blog post from my iPad and and it took me a while to figure out how to put this together. They're great little gadgets but I'd much rather work from my laptop. :-)

  1. Glad you are enjoying your vacation and time at the beach with family. The teapot is absolutely adorable, Judith, and I love the thyme lawn. At one time I tried to get something - may have been thyme - to grow between stones on my garden path, but I didn't have much luck. Enjoy your travels! Hugs, Beth

Your granddaughter does ballet, I'm guessing - she looks the essence of youthful grace.

  5. Oh my! Your grandgirlie must also be a dancer...a ballerina perhaps? Thank your friend for me for sending the photo of her thyme lawn in bloom...it is so intriguing to me...does it have to be mowed? Presumably not and that would be a great benefit. I wouldn't even mind the bees.

  9. Your granddaughter's pose is worthy of a gymnast! What fun to be at the beach. We're headed out onto the water tomorrow. There's nothing like the outdoors for relaxation. Cups of tea - always - and always made in a pot!
