Mosaic Monday #51 The Little Things

It's the little things in life that can bring us happiness, isn't it?
For instance this little fairy sitting on a rock with 'Plant Hope, Grow Dreams' that was a Mother's Day gift.
Top L clockwise:  'Fireburst' Bidens (PW), 'Pandora's Box' a miniature hosta, the small pink bells of weigela 'Ghost' and petite starry flowers on a micro-thyme called 'Elfin'.
And then there is the vibrant purple and green colour combination of Persian Shield that I love.  It can be grown in containers outside or as a houseplant. Mine is in the kitchen, constantly being pinched back for extra branching of stems.
Are there little things about bringing you happiness?

There will be no Mosaic Monday next week, I look forward to seeing everyone the following Monday on August 3.
Also, some participants are mistakenly linking their blog and not their post with a mosaic.   (Once published, click on the title of the post. This will lead you to the static link for your post. The static link is the page with only that post on it. Copy the url from your browser at the top of the page)
Welcome to Mosaic Monday
Link the Url from a post containing a mosaic or collage about any subject.
Please link back to this Mosaic Monday post so that your readers can find other wonderful mosaics.
Linked posts not including a mosaic nor linking back to Mosaic Monday will be removed in fairness to other participants.
The meme is capped at 50 participants so please only one entry per blog.

Thank you for participating and sharing your creativity!

  1. Thank you always Judith for your wonderful shares. When one gets backed into a corner with health issues, I think that you begin to see the small things that bring happiness, even closer. After family and faith, my encounters with the sweetness such as the butterfly wings being painted by rain and pollen this week, it is those sweet unexpected surprises that touch my soul. Have a wonderful week~

  7. I heartily agree that the little things in life often thrill us the most. I love looking at the detail in nature and today we've had a batch of tiny new wild ducklings in our garden so I'm skipping about with happiness! Thanks for hosting Judith. Will write about the ducklings tomorrow.

  12. Little things do indeed bring happiness. The colored leaves of the Persian Shield are striking as are the tiny flowers on the Elfin thyme. Paying attention to the little things is a way of slowing down and really being in the moment.
Thanks again for hosting Mosaic Monday, Judith.

  22. Your Persian Shield plant is very pretty! I like its deep purple color.
I am enjoying being back in Colorado and spending time with our grandchildren again after being away in NYC for two weeks. I unfortunately came home with a bad cold, but drinking lots of tea has helped quite a bit.

  24. You are so right - much joy can be found in small things. I love that little hosta- how "miniature" is it? I bought a "mini" hosta some years back, but it has grown and I wouldn't call it miniature any more... Thanks for hosting Judith, and enjoy your break.

  26. Judith, Persian Shield is one of my favorite shade loving plants. I love the deep purple, leathery leaves. They offer great texture to a garden. Sadly, I lost my plants this past year as they didn't return. I need to buy new ones for next spring.
    Thanks for hosting.

  35. Dear Judith!
Thinking of the meaning of the words , how simple moments as now: my youngest son and I are sitting in our old shabby chic(?) conservatory,(You can är a photo of it in my blogpost) playing music, listening to the sounds of blowing in the wild in the forest near by. I can feel the smells of the flowers of my flower arrangement, and I am thinking that I am rich with my familj and my flowers and legs and a body which walking and working on.The small things in life makes joy!
    Happy Tuesday!
    Best wishes!
