Tea on Thursday - A Whimsical Valentine Tea

I'm still using my Valentine teacup but this time with a Darjeeling tea from Whittard.
A bouquet of pink carnations sits on the table...
and strawberries that taste like summer fill the ruffled pink dish.
A whimsical afternoon tea for one. However, back in 2012..
hubby took me for a Valentine's high tea to 'A Corner of England' in Florida.
It was a a delightful tea room with good food and a big pot of Earl Grey tea.
Next Thursday I'll share The Wisteria Tea Room that a friend and I went to for lunch.
I'll be linking with these tea gatherings:

  3. That tea cup is darling!

I don't know where you are at in Florida but if you get a chance to visit Mt. Dora there is a British Tea Shop there. We also loved the Garden Gate in Mt. Dora but they closed, due to a leasing issue with their building. The owner was hoping to find a bigger space and reopen. I hope they have. We really loved that place!

Thanks for sharing your tea with us!

  7. What a delightful looking tea room! I've been to several in Florida (where I live). One in particular was the Windsor Rose in Mt Dora. I don't know if it's still there but it had photos and memorabila of the royal family. Their teacups and saucers were all different. If felt very whimsical there!

  18. Oh, how absolutly lovely, Judith!

And how romantic of your hubby - what a special treat.

My husband does the afternoon teas on our cruises with me....and always gets a large sandwich in the dining room after, haha. He is a voracious eater and tiny finger foods don't cut it with him. : - )

I am so behind on my Valentine's posts, sigh. Been a crazy week or two! : - )

  27. I'm still using my Valentine's teacup too! (By the way, I checked and "Gracie" isn't stamped on the actual china, so I think I got that information from the box, which I have since thrown away.)

  30. Those Florida berries look amazing in that beautiful pink dish. My friends who are Red Hats (I'm not) went to a tea at a place in Naples ... They loved it. Wish I could remember the name for you. The farm market where we go is Highway 31 Produce (Mikes Field of Dreams). It is between palm beach blvd and Alva . They have a mix of stuff they grow and other stuff and I suspect the berries might have been from Plant City ...it's been a little cooler than usual and I'm not sure they have a lot of ripe ones yet.

  32. I am still using my hearts teacup too, Judith. I was going to use it in my tea post but I decided the chintz alone would be best. The Tea Room sounds like fun and it's wonderful to be able to visit tea rooms away from home. Thank you for joining me for tea today and enjoy your vacation down south.

    Blessings,
    Sandi
