Tea on Thursday - A Valentine's Day Tea

I'm one of the people that likes to celebrate Valentine's Day all month. I even brought my decor from home to dress up our Florida rental.
It's a month for romance, my birthday and creeping that much closer to spring.
My friend Sandi is hosting her Valentine's Day Tea next week but since I always post on the Thursday before, I'm early but will be using my teacup all this month.
No name on the bottom, I purchased the teacup from a vendor at an outdoor craft sale last year.
I also brought along a card made at home, tucked away for my sweetie...except he reads my blog and will see it before the day.
A double tin of tea and biscuits was a Christmas gift and I brought the tea with me; Crabtree and Evelyn sells many pretty tea things.
Isn't the tea packet a pretty one? It's a nice blend of Earl Grey.
TJ Max had some cute and inexpensive heart dishes which is perfect to hold a few honey ginger hearts to have with my tea.
I found a delightful set of strawberry dishes in one of the kitchen cupboards which I can use for my teas this month.
Do you celebrate all month too? If you're a tea blogger, I hope you'll join Sandi's party.
I'll be linking with the following tea gatherings:

  1. What a delightful teatime you have here! I have that same teacup (mine is marked Gracie China) and will enjoy using it all month long. I have always loved Crabtree and Evelyn, and these designs on your tin and teabag are just beautiful!

  2. Judith, you always do things splendidly! Your cards are amazing - your sweetie will love it- so much better - tenfold better- than any single card that is store bought for SURE!!

I am glad you take your romantic holiday south with you. Where do you stay in Florida? My mom and dad had a home in Englewood near Sarasota on the west side for years. I miss going there to visit them.

I love winter but a south beach and warm winds sound good to me today. Hugs.

  3. You plan ahead that way? Wow. I am impressed. No, we barely give Valentine's Day a nod here. I don't celebrate all month through. Say, is it you whom I share a birthday with? I have a vague recollection of a conversation from last February or the one before.

  8. Love your teacup, and the card you made is beautiful, Judith! I have no Valentine tea ware or china but I do have ME cherries pattern which will do. I'll be making a cherry pie and Pioneer Woman's chocolate heart shaped cut out cookies. Enjoy the sunshine!!!

  12. I think I have some plates the same or very similar to those you found in the cupboard ... got them at a thrift store last year for a garden project that hasn't materialized yet :) I must et out my heart shaped teacups to use this month.

  13. After a hectic December and dreary January, February begins to restore the cheerfulness. I've decorated the fireplace mantle and made cloth valentines for the little granddaughter. Red while not my favorite color, does lift the spirit, getting us all in the mood for spring just around the corner. I do love your heart tea cu. Tea looks wonderful, espeially the chocolate. Enjoy the southern warmth.

  14. I love that adorable heart teacup! I've seen other tea bloggers share the same teacup, but you've given me hope that the teacup is available north of the border! At work, we're going to do a Valentine's Day tea social...on Friday the 13th!

  15. You are a true Valentine to take your tea things all the way to Florida to celebrate. The teacup is very pretty. Earl Grey is my favourite tea and I love chocolate. Perfect! Enjoy.

  16. I like to celebrate for longer than one day, although probably not all month. I'm a little behind this year, though, after being away for a week and coming back and jumping right into a few weeks of full-time teaching (I'm a substitute). I hope to get some decor up this weekend. Your teacup is very sweet and the tea and biscuit tin is adorable. Enjoy the sunshine!

  19. That romantic teacup is lovely. We don't celebrate Valentine day in our country. The last few years it's coming up a bit carried by commerce. But I love to surprise my husband on the 14th and will make a blog about it.
Have a nice weekend and enjoy the warmth.

  20. It looks like you're all set to enjoy home-away-from-home teatime down there! I love the look of the Earl Grey Tea and Biscuits - it gives pleasure twice, with the look of the package and the enjoyment of the contents.

  21. Oh my goodness...I LOVE your beautiful tea cup. I always look for one with hearts, but never seem to find one. I love Valentines too. It's just so fun in the dead of winter when we need something to look forward to! Thanks for visiting my blog. Hugs,

  22. That's a very sweet tea cup! And I love ginger chocolates :) I celebrate only on the day, but I picked up a few decorations from the dollar store the other night. I used to love giving my kids those adorable Valentine plush toys you see everywhere, and am a little sad that they're past that age now. With Valentine's being on Saturday this year, I'm planning on doing something a little special for our normal movie/pizza night at home. Happily my daughter will be here too (unless her boyfriend steals her away for a romantic dinner). Enjoy your weekend and your relaxing tea times in the sun Judith! Wendy

  27. Your Valentine's tea is very pretty :). I really like that teacup too. It looks a lot like Bernideen's Lucy's Love set. I'll be decorated for all this month too...I like to change things up for the different holidays/seasons. Your birthday is this month? So is mine! When is yours?

  30. Judith, you have done what I would do, pack some tea things with me to take on vacation. I know you're enjoying the sunshine and warm weather. I love your pretty heart teacup. There are many out there in this pattern but some are crimped and scalloped while others are plain like mine. Your little heart dish filled with chocolate is a sweet touch to your tea table. Thank you for sharing and joining me from your warm refuge. Happy Valentines Day!

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  31. Love a girl who travels with her tea! Hope you are enjoying the sun. Lovely heart teacup. Crabtree and Evelyn was one of my favorite shops when I lived on Galveston Island. Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Tea Day!

  32. So sensible of you Judith to travel with your tea things. It reminds me of a royal I read about who had a special cushioned bag to carry her bone china teacup with her on travels. It just elevates the ordinary day! And lucky you, to be in the sun and warmth! Enjoy, and hope we see some pictures!

  34. The Lucy's Love pattern seems to be everywhere - even with you in Florida. Glad you are having such a great time. I noticed recently that Crabtree has tea in their line but I don't know how long they have been doing this or if it something new they are doing.
