Tea on Thursday - February's Moments

I like to bake and so bring along a few things when we travel to Florida in February such as a set of measuring spoons, cups and heart shaped cutters.
I baked heart shaped sugar cookies for Valentine's Day and scones several times.
The ruffled heart shaped dish from TJ Max was perfect to hold fresh strawberries and marshmallow hearts to float atop hot chocolate at night.
Isn't this cute? Our visiting grandson found a heart shaped potato chip.
I celebrated my birthday on Monday and above is an adorable cookie present I received in the mail from tea friend Ingrid.
Hubby and I shared this yummy dessert when we went out for lunch on my special day.
I ordered some tea themed dish towels from blogging sister JoAnn that were delivered to a Canadian friend with a Florida home not far from us. (there are 7 in the set)
Here's another set as seen on JoAnn's blog. If you're interesting in ordering from her, have a look at this post where she features some of her work. Tell JoAnn I sent you.
The sunrises and sunsets have been incredible as our rented house backs on to a salt water canal. We've seen large fish jumping out of the water skipping across the surface in search of insects.
As February comes to an end, I'll have fond memories of our time in Florida this year. I've already packed my teacup of hearts and few purchases as we prepare to head home this weekend.

  23. I see you pack the true essentials ! Everyone needs home baked cookies, biscuits, & scones and a candy dish or two with sweets placed on tables just say 'home" , even if it is only home for a few days.

What a beautiful place to stay and the tea towels, I love them. I am off to check out JoAnn's shop.

  27. Belated Happy Birthday Judith! I thought I had left a comment here but I don't see it so I'll try again. I hope your travels northward are going smoothly without incident or poor weather/bad roads. I'm sure you are sad to see your time in FL come to an end, but it is obvious from all your lovely photos that you've enjoyed a wonderful time. Such beautiful sunsets!!

  30. A Happy belated Birthday, Judith! How lovely that you were able to spend it in a warm climate. Your tea setting is sweet with the hearts teacup and pretty cookies. I have one of those pink heart-shaped dishes too but I'm not sure where I put it. I seem to have misplaced a few things over the past couple of years. I will be coming across them in the near future I'm sure because I am getting rid of a lot of stuff the next little while. Time to purge. Thanks for stopping by for tea and have a lovely week.

    Blessings,
    Sandi
