Mosaic Monday #26 Soft and Cuddly

I realized with a bit of planning ahead that Mosaic Monday could keep on schedule even though I wouldn't be at home. And, I'm not talking about using the schedule option when posting, I have yet to get it to work. By the time this link is up, I'll be somewhere warm without a snowflake in sight!
I haven't shown Topaz for some time so I clicked a few photos of him for this week.
Topaz is not an outdoor kind of guy, a quick romp to his business and those little paws are cold. Above I captured him as he stopped for a minute when we were at a park. His plaid coat is a double layer of fleece.
He would much rather be inside snoozing in the sun. His snout is getting the telltale white of a senior dog and this summer he'll be 12.
Afternoon naps are becoming the norm whether snuggled in a fleece blanket or curled up in his bed with a few toys for company.
We do love our furbabies, don't we?

  2. Oh I am jealous as another storm is headed our way....I said to my husband that next year we need a little getaway in Feb, and maybe a longer one from then on each February. Topaz is adorable but not a cold weather dog. When I was growing up we had a Yorkie who hated to get his paws wet but when the snow came you couldn't get him inside no matter how cold....he just played and played in the high drifts until we almost lost him in all the snow....and he would never wear the little coats and sweaters I bought him....enjoy your time away Judith!

  3. What a sweet furbaby, and it is such a sad feeling, when we know that their age is on the decline of years. You sure have a lovely one and the personality still shines in that marvelous face and those endearing eyes. Keep that precious one warm and enjoy for as much longer as you possibly can. We feel that our furbabies are another part to our family. Thank you Judith for hosting Mosaic Monday and have a blessed week. BTW the Cranberry Curd sure sounds yummy~

  6. Greetings from Greece!

    Hello Judith,

I'm so happy to finally have the time and opportunity to be able to join Mosaic Monday again; I've missed it! There were many times I wanted to link up a post, but I knew it was going to be tricky trying to properly visit everyone...until now!

Topaz is darling, and his sweet nature is evident in the expression in his adorable, warm eyes.

How wonderful that you are soaking up the sun; it's the perfect time, as southern Ontario is quite c-o-l-d right now! Enjoy!

Thanks for hosting and wishing you a fabulous February!

  10. Topaz looks like a sweet dog and I don't blame him for not wanting to linger outside in the snow at his age. He looks so cozy!

  17. Topaz is just so cute. Now, our hunting dog loves the snow. He is part short hair and probably should wear a coat, but now way. I hope you are enjoying your warm sun. While we have sun here, it was bitterly cold today.

  19. Hello Judith
Well I guess that means you're basking in the sunshine and enjoying the warmth of Florida - sounds good to me!
Is Topaz on holiday with you? or maybe he's at his special holiday home.
He's gorgeous and I love the photos.
I read on someone's blog recently that they put special snow shoes on their dogs - is this right?
Thank you for being so clever and letting us party without you!
Have the time of your life.
    Hugs
