Tea Time Magazine Winner

Tea Time magazine had some incredible Christmas giveaways on their FB page and I was taken by surprise to see my name pop up as the winner of the very second draw. It's one of my favourite magazines for tea time inspiration and recipes.

Above is the Le Creuset tea-for-one set in pink that I won.
The teacup holds an ample amount of tea and I've set a tray with the set in front of the fireplace. I really like the shade of pink it comes in.
Also on the tray is a pink depression glass candy dish I bought when our antique barn had their Christmas open house. I looked at it and thought the hearts were lovely but put it back on the shelf. It was tagged at $10. As hubby and I ambled through the barn, mostly just to look and laugh about the things for sale that are in our cupboards right now I came upon the same dish at another booth. This one was tagged at $28.95 and since I've purchased linens from this woman before I feel she knows her prices. "Before we leave, if the other dish is still there, it's coming home" I told hubby and there it was waiting for me right where I left it.
Don't you love finding bargains like this?
I hope tea and Quality Street chocolates are acceptable today. There are still lots of shortbread and other goodies for afternoon tea another day.

  1. Such a wonderful win Judith! I love the pink. And the Depression glass candy dish is beautiful, too. I don't subscribe to Tea Time, but occasionally pick up a copy. Such a fun magazine to peruse.

  10. Congratulations on being a Tea Time Magazine winner! Love your pink Depression Glass candy dish too. Browsing antique stores always reminds me of my age because I always see things that I either own, or my mom owned when I was growing up. It's always a fun experience to visit the shops and take a walk down memory lane. Hope you and Glenn had a very Merry Christmas, and many blessings in 2015! ~ Phyllis

  21. Congratulations on winning that pretty pink tea-for-one, Judith! You did well to find that gorgeous depression glass candy dish for ten dollars as depression glass can be very pricey. Tea and chocolate sounds good to me! Thank you for joining me for tea this past year and I wish you and your loved ones a very Happy and healthy New Year!

  25. Congrats on the tea for one set win Judith! That candy dish is special--and you were definitely meant to have it obviously--seeing it again during the same trip at a higher price was just affirmation. My mother does the same thing in the antique stores--she likes to point out the things she has or her mother had. She was especially amused when she saw the sifter she still uses for sale in one antique store. I hope you have a very happy new year!

Sorry I was absent a good deal of December, honestly I just couldn't get to blogville, was frustrating, but I was needed elsewhere.

If you haven't seen it go to my post before last and check out my new birdie teacup I rec'd from my hubs for Christmas. I couldn't even believe it!

And lastly, Happy New Year, sweet lady. I wish you every good thing this new year - good health and joy be yours. Hugs.
