The perfect cup for a Remembrance Day tea. We will remember them, all those who have fallen for their country.
What a lovely way to honour the fallen and all who serve our country. Tomorrow, I will be attending a Remembrance Day service which will also commemorate the 100th anniversary of World War I.
Hi Ruth ... How lucky you are to have a poppy tea set... They are not very common but they are oh so beautiful... I love poppies and try in vain to grow the giant red ones and blue himalayans but alas, only the california poppies pop up for me ...so it's a real treat to view their brilliance on your lovely china...thanks for sharing ...Hugs
A beautiful tribute, Judith.Thinking of you and the whole country.Hugs from Sara
What a lovely tea you've shared,Judith, to honor your veterans. Your Gracie poppy teacup is so pretty. Thank you for your tribute.
Judith, what a beautifully done tea today! Love your poppies and teacup. The little plate with the cardinal is adorable. But the photo of our two slain soldiers is very touching. It will be a moving service in Ottawa today. Thank you for sharing your lovely tribute with us. Blessings,Sandi
It's a solemn day and I'll be thinking of those lost.
The service men and women deserve our honor, respect, and thanks. Glad to see your post honoring them. I like your poppy teacup, Judith. Your banana bread looks good, and the little birdie observing your meal - precious! Have a good week.Hugs, Beth

Judith,Beautiful tribute. Love your poppy cup and saucer. Happy Tea Day!
Judith, such a beautifully illustrated tribute! As I wrote in my post we are using our new Surface on this trip and it occurred to me that none of my photos to use in such a tribute are on this machine (I know, I should learn how to use 'the cloud' for storage) but since I can't post anything appropriate, you have made my day!
Poppies have always been a favorite of mine and yes, a most fitting day to honor those who served!!...:)JP
