Celebrating Autumn with Apples and Tea

Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage is hosting a special autumn tea this week and since this is the season for fresh, juicy apples, it is only natural they play a part in my tea.
I've just completed 19 autumn cards for an exchange with the afternoon tea FB group I belong to and here is one to bring autumn greetings to you as well.
A teacup from Bavaria but no pattern name awaits the Irish afternoon tea brewing in the pot.
A cute little cardamon flavoured apple cooke was picked up at the farmers market...
and I baked an apple pie, hubby's favourite. We like ours with a wedge of cheddar cheese on the side.
Happy Autumn! Afternoon tea on the dining room table with apple treats, won't you join me?

  15. Nothing like a freshly picked apple. Your tea looks very "autumnal." I love cheese with my apple pie; down here in the south they think I'm crazy, so I keep that for myself and serve ice cream with theirs.

  25. The pie sounds so good with a wedge of cheese. I have always heard of that but never tried it! I pruned my apple tree and my neighbor came over and pruned it a second time - I think it did something to it as we didn't get one apple this year and although I can buy them, it just hasnt been the same without my own apples.

  27. Judith. Your pie looks so good. My apple trees didn't give up much fruit this year... or maybe the deer got them. So have only been able to make a couple of pies.

  28. Sounds and looks like a pleasant tea. The apple cookie was cute. I love apple pie but I can't for the life of me understand the "cheese" with it (just not my thing).

  29. What a nice idea to have a tea and exchange cards. Some people think it is odd, but I too love cheese with my apple pie. Delicious!

  30. What a lovely share and your apple pie looks so wonderful. I need to get some apples to slice up and make a pie or crisp for us. I was just telling the husby recently that some people enjoy a slice of cheddar cheese with their apple pie and now I can show him. We are back from our 2 week journey a week tomorrow and still trying to get caught up. I am blaming it all on my age and that is where I shall say have a great weekend~
