Wild!

Last weekend I attended Canada Blooms for our annual Garden Writers Meeting and we were taken on a tour of the display gardens early in the morning before the public was admitted.  The theme this year was "Wild!" and it was interpreted in a number of creative ways.

I loved the parade of flower ladies and it takes a floral designer with an exemplary imagination to produce something as wonderful as these.
The floral cakes looked yummy and the added bling was fun.
An ingenious rendition of the northern lights.
A wildly bright gym incorporated into the garden design.
My favourite of a magnificent elephant that commanded regard without overpowering.
I had to share the rock sheep.  Aren't these cute with the iron sheep's face attached to large boulders?  In the background is a freestanding stone arch.
I hope you have enjoyed the Wild side of the garden show!
I'm linking with Mosaic Monday.

  8. "Wild" is right! These are great depictions and interpretations of the word "wild". I really like them all, but I think the Northern Lights display is really clever.

  28. Holy smokes Judith, that looks like so much fun! I would have loved to "do" one of those costumes. I have images of some rosy Madame Pompadour or something. Completely agree with you; that elephant is fantastic. Wouldn't it be lovely to have him in the garden? Reminds me of the elephants at Sezincote house; which I visited last August. :) Hope you have a warmer week ahead.
