More Blooms

Last week I shared the floral ladies and other elements contributing to the "Wild" theme at Canada Blooms.  Garden design is an anticipated part of the show and a wall full of potted tulips is a big shot of spring.
My gardens are mostly pastel hues of pinks and purples and these two displays called out to me.  On the right is the reblooming "Bloomerang" lilac.
A new hosta 'Blue Ivory' was drawing attention as was the succulent tablescape on a picnic table.
Apparently there are yurts to rent at Algonquin Park in Ontario and it's plain to see they can be made quite cozy inside.
I am so ready to get out in my garden!
Thank you Mary for hosting Mosaic Monday.

  2. The wall of tulips is really neat. I would love to have one of the boomerang lilacs. I must investigate them further. It's actually mild here tonight and will be tomorrow too. Almost spring like. :)

  5. I'll have to tell a hosta-loving friend about the 'Blue Hosta' variety! And I saw my first tulip about to bloom yesterday. Like you, I'm eager to get out and start gardening. (Raining today, alas.) That wall of tulips is amazing, and I love the succulent tablescape!

  6. The flower photos are beautiful! I will have to check out Canada Blooms next year. I've never been much of a camper but I wouldn't mind roughing it outdoors in one of those yurts!

  11. You've pinpointed some interesting bits here Judith! I'll be looking for that blue hosta, and I love the mossy picnic table ... an inspiring arrangement of succulents. I've seen the yurts in various provincial parks, but I'll confess, I've never seen anyone set them up quite like this one! Now that's "glamping" if I ever saw it ;) Wendy x

  14. What a great bounty of flowers! I can't wait to get outdoors and do something in the garden area- I don't care if it's only to kick a stone! Just seeing the earth instead of snow will make me happy! I think I need a pot of tulips to pick me up :-)

  34. Beautiful hosta! I know Ron would like it but after discovering hosta x virus in some of our plants last year, we are kind of in a holding pattern for the purchase of more hostas for now. The tulips are beautiful too - one of my very favorite flowers! :)
