Kentucky Tea

Welcome friends for tea this week.  We left on Thursday to begin our 23 hour drive to Clearwater Beach in Florida and as much as I looked forward to sun and sand, Friday morning was going to be pretty special for me.
The day started out with a gorgeous sunrise as hubby and I were invited to stop and have a visit with Linda Jennings, author of the blog Friendship Tea.  We met at the Kentucky Artisan Centre in Berea, not far from Linda's home and although we didn't have tea (the cafe opened too late) we did have a good chat.
Linda is every bit as nice as she comes across on her blog and brought me a container of Elmwood Inn Kentucky Blend black tea which I will try while watching Downton Abbey tonight.
In the gift bag was a copy of the November 2013 Kentucky Living magazine which has a lovely article about Linda and how she came to be a tea blogger.  There are many great photos, which unfortunately I don't have the right to share.  Linda and family have been to many tea rooms over the years and more than once in England.  She has completed several classes including a tea master class in London, England.  Truly an inspiring woman and tea friend.
Due to fun in the sun I'll only be linking with Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage and Bernideen at her Tea Time Blog this week.
Make yourself a cup of tea and visit my hosts and their guests.

  1. How fun to meet up with another blogger! Isn't that artisan center the absolute best? We have to visit it every time we got to Berea or go on through on the interstate. Clean rest rooms too, LOL!

I bet you went right through Knoxville where I live!

I recall Linda publishing some of the magazine article information on her blog in the past, or perhaps linking to the article online. What a nice trip - I like how it started out for you and now you get your fun in the sun! Hugs, Beth

  14. Dear Judith,
I'm so happy you got to meet a charming blogging friend on your way down to Florida. I first had the privilege of meeting Linda on the London Tea Tour back in 2007, and have been on two tea outings with her since. Tea friends are the best! I'm right off I-75 not far from the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit or the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron if you use either of those bridges on your journey back home. My door is always open for tea lovers. Hope you have a wonderful time in Florida. Soak up all the sunshine, because it's still cold in the northland.
