February Personal Photo Challenge - Street Scenes

This month's photo challenge is just that for me.  My photography is mostly of the garden and flower nature along with birds and insects.  However, I was able to find these two scenes that should fit the challenge.
Both photos were taken with my Canon point and shoot as it's always in my purse waiting for opportunities such as theses.
Thank you Donna at Cottage Days and Journeys for hosting our monthly Personal Photo Challenge.

  1. This will be my first time joining the photo challenge. Living in the woods as I do it's quite a challenge to photograph a street scene but we'll see how I do when I post mine later today. Your street musician is interesting, I can almost hear him playing.

  2. Oh I love the "everyman" quality of the second (Could be any man anywhere) and the unique opportunity with the first. Good thing he closed his eyes...if they had been open, I would mot have dared to take the shot. = D

  4. Wonderful photos Judith. The street musician is a part of daily life in the city and the second photo is so casual. A fun challenge!

  5. I love both your photos Judith!
Vee took the words out of my mouth - you've captured "our men" beautifully!
Mine is usually slowly wandering on ahead as I stop to take endless photos of things..... or he's patiently waiting for me to gather up my 'things' before I remove myself from the car!

The musician is lovely - and he's wearing a french beret!

  7. Great shot of the street musician. I enjoyed seeing the pine trees and the green grass and persons outside without parkas, gloves, and boots!

  8. This theme isn't everyone's cup of tea, and you were brave to venture outside of your comfort zone! Each one tells a story, so you captured the essence of classical street photography. The musician was really getting into his performance - look at that concentration! Clearly, a multi-tasker, LOL. He even has an insulated cup of coffee at his side so that he can get a needed jolt of caffeine now and then. And the last one is a day-in-the-life scene, where an elderly man is patiently waiting for his wife to get something out of her side of the car.

You can breathe a sigh of relief. You did a good job on this theme and the next one will be easier for you!
