A Hearts and Roses Tea

Welcome friends for tea.
Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage is hosting a 'Hearts and Roses' tea this week in honour of Valentine's Day coming up in a few days.  Above is the gorgeous and fragrant 'Mary Rose', one of David Austin's  most popular roses found in gardens.
An invitation for you to join me for this special tea, and we'll sit outside on the balcony.
A new teacup in my summer dishes pattern.  'Butterfly Meadow' by Lennox with a sweet pink butterfly that serves as a handle.
While we're in Florida I haven't been baking so purchased a delicious lemon sugar cookie heart from Panera Bread.
I was able to visit my favourite French pastry store 'Le Macron' and have a few colourful macarons to share.
There's a nice view over the water of boats and pelicans diving for fish and soon after I took this photo, the sun came out.
I hope you'll visit my hosts and their guests for tea.

Bernideen's Tea Blog is also having a special tea this week at Friends Sharing Tea.

  1. Hi Judith, Love your first and last Valentine images, and really enjoyed seeing the view from your balcony. Awesome! I'll bet it's very relaxing for you all. Your cookie and macaron look great, Judith. I've never tried a macaron but would like to. I'll have to do some searching and see if I can find some locally. Happy Valentine's Day!

  11. Hi Judith,
That teacup is indeed a dear with it's butterfly handle! I love your wee pink pedestal stand for the yummy looking macaroons. I was once in Daytona Beach Florida with my father and sister for a music convention when I was 14 years of age and would love to go back someday(44 years ago)! How nice for you to have tea outside today! Thank you for visiting me and leaving such kind comments! Have a Happy Valentine's Day! Karen

  22. Hi Judith, first, please forgive my blatant MIA lately... trying to shake the winter funk! :D
I adore that tea cup... I've been thinking some fresh decorating in my house in order and a new set of dishes is on the list! Have you ever made macaroons from scratch? I've been dyeing to try... Oh pelicans, they are one of my favorite birds... they remind me of mini pterodactyls!
I hope you are enjoying your trip to Florida! It must be nice to be in that warm weather when you know back home is cold and snowy!
    Hugs my sweet blogging sister,
