January Note Card Party

It's time for Vee's monthly note card party again.  After looking through my photos, I came across some pretty sunrise and sunset selections that would be suitable for men as well as women.

  5. A sunset on the water always conjures up feelings of the passing of time for me, the end of yet another day, when the sun, too, settles down.

Brilliant images, Judith. Thanks so much for sharing.

  12. Growing up on a Great Lake it's funny - when I was younger I always thought everyone's sunsets looked like this.........and many many years ago I moved inland and haven't quite enjoyed a sunset yet that is like it setting on water. Beautifully and artistically done, Judith, lovely "cards!"

  16. Judith, what a lovely set of cards! The one of the big ol' sun going down over the houses is my fave...it is so huge! I will stop what I'm doing as often as I can to get shots of sunrises and sunsets. Our God is fantastic artist! Blessings!

  18. These are wonderful and interesting sky shots. Cloud formations vary as much as the colour. A great selection for note cards.

  22. Oh! Oh! So glad you reminded me! I love Vee's Notecard Party and really want to be a more regular poster there. Off to find my pictures. I'm afraid I don't have the landscapes like you do - gorgeous! We've had a few interesting skies of late in Jersey, but mostly clouds and rain. Boo. Blessings!
    Joy!

  23. I can not for the life of me take a good sunrise or sunset photo. In my head, that's what I want all of mine to look like, but they never seem to capture the glory that I see with my naked eye. You, on the other hand, obviously know how to do it. I loved every single one of them.

  25. Wow Judith, these are spectacular!! I always want to capture good sunset photos, and my husband says they're pretty tricky to get right. Yours are lovely. :)

Is one of your sunset photos in a tropical locale? I thought it looked as if it were. Thanks for sharing your pics with us; they make beautiful note cards.

    Best wishes,

  27. Classic images! I just started getting a photography magazine, and they used sunset photos as the theme for a reader contest. As you have demonstrated here, sunset images are just stunning!

P.S. Thanks for volunteering your daughter for mystery-writing advice! If she truly doesn't mind, I'm going to take you up on that sometime!
