The First Tea of December

Welcome friends for my first tea of December.  The snow is gently falling today making it a picture perfect scene outside.
As you come in the front door, you can't miss the beautiful faux purple wreath a friend made me recently.  It was a nice gift to receive as she knows how much I like, and decorate with lavender.
On the other side of the door, a crafted sleigh leans against the wall beside the mailbox.  We actually have green boxes for delivery and ours is on a street around the corner.  The chickadee mailbox is for hand deliveries and our weekly newspaper.
My first tea for December has a lavender and turquoise theme and is set up on a counter in the kitchen. Choose which teacup you would like.
Rooibos gingerbread tea is brewing in the Lavender Rose teapot.
I pulled out a few tea books to browse through over tea and lit a frosty candle.
A turquoise bird from the Christmas tree is joining us.
I found the miniature tea room this summer which will be used in a fairy garden next year.
Help yourself to a scone while I pour the tea and we can sit and chat for awhile.
I'm joining these hosts for Tea Time Tuesday this week:
Bernideen at her Tea time Blog
I hope you'll visit each host and their guests.

  19. Dear Judith,
oh my, what a very pretty wreath you have. I really love it. Your friend made it beautiful. The next thin I love are the tea cups. So sweet the soft colors. I would love to use the soft tuquoise one. That would be a wonderful tea time, enjoying tea and scones and to look into those pretty books. I am sure we would have so much to share. Thank you for having me for tea.
    Best greetings, Johanna

We have rural mail boxes and thankfully not one of the group ones at our house yet. I like to get my mail at the house not a mile down the road! :)
