A Victorian Christmas of Antiques

When you live in a rural area, some shopping venues are in older buildings.  This weekend the local antique barn hosted a Victorian Christmas and it was fun to browse the vintage decorations.
The group of pink tinsel trees was so pretty I had to capture them and one of the ornaments.  I must say they didn't have much flowing tinsel on them, more like a Charlie Brown pink stick tree.
I only bought one thing which I'll share on my tea post this week and I was excited to find it.
Why not join the fun and make a mosaic too and join our host Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.

  2. Hi Judith, your mosaic is lovely. I especially love the white ornaments.

I decorated our Christmas tree in creamy whites with touches of gold, and I'm loving it:)

  3. I've never seen a pink Christmas tree, Judith - that must have been something - what next, lavender I hope? Wouldn't that be fun?

I am getting there slowly - been sick all week, hubs and I have strep throat and bronchitis. Such fun.

On the way to mending and hope to catch up on all I have missed.

    Hugs.

  17. I'm a fan of the real thing Christmas tree, but do you know what, this year I'd swap for the pink one (altho' my DH would not be impressed) as at least it wouldn't make me sneeze like the one we've got at home!!!

  20. I sense a warm and inviting atmosphere in your photos, Judith. I am familiar with the antique barns along those hilly Ontario roads, and they are always a joy to browse, especially when you come across something you can't resist! Looking forward to your own found treasure!

  22. I remember that, growing up, our tree had some ornaments similar to the one on the bottom right. I always thought the shape was so attractive.
