Smiling Faces

Sunflowers have such happy smiling faces, don't they?
This is the reason why I chose my field of sunflowers photo to be put on the canvas which I won locally.  I showed it previously, where I tried hanging it on the living room wall but it was dwarfed by the surroundings.
Now it's hanging on the wall in the front entranceway above the flower tapestry where a smaller 'garden' canvas hung.

The garden canvas was shifted to the right above a small hall table.  Of course all this moving around was done by my hubby, handy man of the house.  Thanks honey! (he reads my posts :-)

  1. What a guy! John gave up reading my posts 100,000 words ago. Perhaps he thinks I talk too much as it is.

Your art looks very nice there. It is not dwarfed and has a place to shine and be noticed. It's a beautiful, happy picture.

  8. How lovely. I to am in love with sunflowers. I had planned on planting a field full of them this past spring but well, things got out of hand as you may recall with the crazy weather. Hopefully, if we don't move I will get them planted for next spring. I would like to plant several different varieties - maybe that would help make up to the birds what has been lost with the 40 acre clearcut across from my house. I'm going to really have to do some research on how to try and restore the balance and quickly... any suggestions you have will certainly be most welcome! You know I didn't get a single monarch butterfly this season! Not good!
Hugs my dear friend and enjoy the weekend!
