Magical Moments

Jack Frost
"Someone painted pictures on my
windowpane last night...
Willow trees with trailing boughs
And flowers, frosty white,
And lovely crystal butterflies;
But when the morning sun
Touched them with its golden beams,
They vanished one by one."
~Helen Bayley Davis~

With the first frost, something magical happens.
I hope you have experienced some magical moments of your own.
I am linking with Mosaic Monday.

  1. Great shots after Jack Frost's visit! He's visited us twice this week as well but today we had a thunderstorm and high in the 60s. I enjoyed sharing your magical moments in the garden today. Sometimes, you have to bend down and really look...and it amazes you what you find.
    Hugs and blessings, Beth

  2. Oh these images from your garden are quite magical Judith....
I would love to have a frost where I live but our climate is too temperate...
Also I would love to have a little snow in winter too.

The patterns of the icicles are incredible - I'm so pleased you went outside with your camera for us - thank you!

  13. There are always magical moments in my garden, just not any frosty ones, yet at least. (I always hope for a good frost like this, but we don't get many!

  14. Jack Frost does good work! And so do you capturing his creations. I do feel a little sad putting the garden away. I scurried out yesterday...brrr...to get my rosemary, which I didn't think would make it through otherwise. Now I've got to plant it for it's sitting unceremoniously in one of my kitchen bowls. A happy day to you!

  17. The frost photos do look lovely, especially on the brightly coloured flower. It's rain and a milder day here. I hope there's a reprieve for the children treat or treating this evening.

  31. Wonderful frosty shots. The ice crystals look like lacy edging. We've had frost a couple of times recently - I like the look on the plants, but don't like scraping the windshield of the car.
