A Pink Tea

Welcome friends for tea this week.  Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage is hosting a pink tea in honour of breast cancer awareness.
Button from Karen at My Desert Cottage
I wish I could have picked a bouquet of flowers from my hydrangea 'Invincibelle', created by Proven Winners with a portion of sales going to breast cancer.  However, these lovely flowers bloom earlier in the summer.
I spread out my pink breast cancer scarf from Avon on a kitchen counter and tucked a lace tablecloth in behind.  Some pretty teacups with pink roses were pulled out from the buffet.
You can choose the one you want.
My only teapot with pink, and roses too, is the Royal Albert 'Lavender Rose', which I've shared before.  Cream of Earl Grey is brewing for our special occasion.
The 'Hope' fairy will be joining us.
Would you care for a piece of blueberry coffee cake with your tea?
I selected the Royal Albert 'Pink Brocade' cup and saucer for myself .
Please visit my hosts and their guests.

  1. Lovely collection of pink teacups and I love the teapot. I get a mamogram every year, a must since my Mother had breast cancer. Everyone should be checked at least once a year.

  10. What a lovely blog and thanks so very much for including the breast cancer awareness message. I lost my mother nearly 21 years ago. Sadly, her first mammogram was when it was discovered. She was not afraid of having one...her trusted doc never recommended it. I schedule my mammogram every year for Halloween. If it falls on Saturday, I go the Friday before and if on Sunday, I go Monday. I encourage everyone to have a definite time to go each year and a way to remember that date. A little discomfort is worth keeping up for yourself and those who are dear to you.

  23. Hi Judith,
Beautiful Hydrangeas, mine are almost pink today. This tea pot of yours is a lovely addition to your tea, it is exquisite and elegant with dainty flowers.
Fairies being my favourite these days I'm glad that Hope will be joining us. Your blueberry coffee cake looks scrumptious.

  25. 'Invincibelle' is gorgeous! Larry Conrad has one too and I admired it greatly this summer. Wish I had not put in so many of the endless summer cultivars and had a 'Limelight' and 'Invincibelle' instead. Much better performers, I'm sure. The E.S. were very disappointing this year. I like your teacups - nice assortment of pinks. Hope your week is going well.
    Hugs, Beth

  28. Hi Judith, I always love seeing your diverse collection of gorgeous tea cups. I alas must admit to not owning a single pretty tea cup. I think I am going to have to do something about that since all you ladies that participate in the tea cup party seem to have such glorious collections! Ummm, that blueberry coffee cake looks ever so yummy!

  30. Blessings, Judith, and joy to you! I see you have your Lavender Rose as part of your quartet of pink cups in honor of the Theme this week - one of my favorite patterns! All things beautiful at your place, as always. I harvested the last of my own lavender blooms and have them dried and in a vase for enjoyment the rest of the year. Blessings of the season to you!
    Joy!
