Dreaming in Lavender

Welcome friends for tea this week.  As a person who loves lavender, I have plants as well as indoor and outdoor decor in this colour.  One might even think I dream in lavender.
I've been blessed to have fellow bloggers (you know who you are) that think of me when they see something lavender they know I'd like and send a parcel in the mail.  I appreciate these thoughtful acts of kindness.
I wish to thank everyone who visits my blog and if you're here for the first time, I hope you'll come back, especially for the weekly tea gathering that has brought a good group of women together that share a common interest.
My favourite concrete bunny held a lavender plant for a few summers.  Unfortunately it eventually crumbled from the freeze and thaw of our winters.
The main powder room with a collection of lavender bottles and a porcelain egg created at a workshop.
Right now the butterfly bush is covered in blooms and below it are lavender plants flowering for the second time this summer.  The two create the most intoxicating fragrance in the front yard.
I made a little bouquet in a lavender vase for the tea table and tucked in some echinacea.
A lavender napkin edged in crocheted lace with a delicate hanky on top.
Sparkly lavender fruit.
I've shared my lavender teapot and mugs before but not this little vase.
There are several large vases in varying shapes and shades of lavender in the cupboard for summer bouquets.
This week I'm going to have my tea in this Adderly lavender teacup that has roses on the inside.
Whomever painted their front door and around it to look this marvellous just might dream in lavender too.
Many thanks to my weekly hosts; make yourself a cup of tea and visit them and their guests.

  3. Good Morning Judith, What a treat... I love lavender, the colour and the plant. You must be thrilled to have your lavender and buddleia flowering for a second time, the perfume must be wonderful. Our buddleia and lavender have finished flowering, but they were lovely whilst they flowered.
There is a definite morning chill in the air, I think Autumn is on it's way.
    Best Wishes

  14. Judith:
I am so upset with myself as I wanted to make a Lavender Pound Cake and just don't seem to get it done. I bought the organic lavender at Whole Foods but now I think I might get some other fresher as it has been a few months.

All your lavender items are lovely!

  15. You have a lovely collection of lavender items. I adore your pretty bouquet. Your lavender bottles int he powder room are beautiful. Love your teacup, too! My Hidcote lavender is blooming for the second time. Since I wasn't too good about getting the Munstead deadheaded, it has not re-bloomed. Oh well, I guess the seeds will fall and create more plants. :)

  18. I planted lavender along the front walk when we lived in Virginia. Here in CT I don't think it would survive...I'd have to check the climate zone chart...:)JP

  29. Hi Judith,
Just love your lavender collection of pretties. Everything is so pretty and there is just something about lavender that is always stunning. I had lavender for my wedding color 40 years ago. I still love it.
Thank you for stopping by and your kind comment. I did not see the Victoria magazine yet. Do you remember which it was? Current or a past issue?
    Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
    Hugs!

  33. What pretty lavender shots :) My butterfly bush is finishing up now, despite my trimming the dead blooms faithfully. I'm trying to get some lavender going in my garden, and hopefully next year I'll see some expansion there. Wendy
