Memories of PEI Tea

Welcome friends for tea this week.  Sandi is hosting her annual "Anne of Green Gables" event but when we visited the island province of PEI several years ago, I didn't bring back any of this kind of memorabilia.  Sure we visited the house of Green Gables and many other spots of interest as well.
Being a tea drinker, I picked up a souvenir mug and a trinket box.
The pink lady slipper is the provincial flower of PEI.
The bit of pink, white and black quilt you see was purchased from a woman at the north end in Tignish  that hand stitches all her quilts.
We were treated to an evening cruise upon a fishing trawler that resulted in this stunning sunset.
Many people on PEI depend on the sea for their living.
And when the going gets rough, Keep Calm and Drink Tea!

  10. I'm glad you got some trinkets on your trip to PEI. I love the carved people figures. I remember as a girl we visited and stay for a few days and we went deep sea fishing, as well as to Green Gables. Such a long time ago.

  12. Hi Judith,
beside the wonderful story of Anne at Green Gables the Prince Edward Island must be a wonderful place. Your souvenirs are very nice. I love the Lad's Slippers, too. Very very seldom here. I guess they are growing at PEI. Must be spectacular to see them in nature.
Thank you for your sweet comment. I must confess, the shower is a very good time of inspiration for me, too. Relaxing and soothing and this is the ground for good ideas.
    Best greetings,
    Johanna

  15. Hi Judith, PEI sounds like it's a beautiful place to visit and well, live! Your memories shared through the mug and trinket box are both gorgeous and imbue a sense of calm and beauty that only places like PEI are privy to. Another one of those places that I have been lucky enough to visit that shares the same feelings of calm and beauty is Mt Desert Island in Maine. If you've never been a trip is well worth it :D
Hugs and enjoy the rest of the week,
    Beth P

  18. How lovely! We got to see the Green Gables house and also the author's birthplace. And we even went to a tea shop that was just as packed with people, but oh it was such fun to see the selections of tea. This sure brings back memories!

  19. Pretty mug and ornament. Reminds me of a long time ago when my father lived in Canada. That's so neat that you went to the house.
