Early July Blooms

July is when my gardens come alive with colour.  I'm sharing some early bloomers for Mosaic Monday.
Asclepias tuberosa - Butterfly Weed
Malva sylvestris 'Zebrina'
Hemercallis 'Judith'
Hermerocallis 'June Bug'
Hermerocallis 'Happy Returns'
Purple crown vetch that is growing along the road sides has created a sea of pink.
Thank you Mary for hosting Mosaic Monday.

  3. Oh wow...the detail on these photographs. I hope people will open them in their larger size. I'd never have realized the dew drops on the first for example without taking a closer look.

  9. If you see the June Bug missing from you yard later on, it's because I sent Marty over to dig it up for me. LOL! Beautiful photos!

  31. Hi Judith, How wonderful that you have a hemerocallis named after you! Awesome! It's a very pretty one, as is June Bug. Your butterfly weed is very pretty. Mine didn't come back this year so I bought and planted some more. Yours is so stunning! Hope you get some monarch larvae. The malva is pretty too. I think it's a relative of the hollyhock. The crown vetch reminds me of when I was a girl. My dad bought a pasture and barn and on the outside of the fence were sloping ditches, to which he added crown vetch for ground cover. Hope you're having a good week!
