Shy Little Gal

It's not every day one can walk right up to a bird and take a few photos.  This female redpoll was hiding her face at first and I wondered if there was something wrong with her.
She then started to move across the garden pecking at seeds on the ground.
And appeared to be fine; perhaps just a camera shy little gal at first.

  21. Great pics! I love watching the birds here. The orioles are now frequent visitors. I've taken photos from inside and they aren't the greatest, but they won't let me get close like your little birdie did! lol
