December Note Card Party

We had an ample snowfall last month that put us in the mood for Christmas but as the unpredictable weather of this year continued, the temperature warmed and all the snow melted.  It looks like this year will be another green grass Christmas.
Not to worry, I dug out some old photos for Vee's Note Card Party that will help keep us in the spirit of a wintry holiday.
The bridge over the creek that runs into the lake near us.
This was my favourite platform bird feeder until the squirrels chewed it.
Hoar frost is so fascinating and I love the little spiky fingers it creates.
This clump of grass is a perfect punctuation mark in the landscape and I've used it in a magazine article as well as my gardening column in the past.
If you have post card worthy photos, why not join Vee's party?  The link can be found here.

  2. Beautiful photos Judith. I love the first and third ones. The snow has just started here and it's windy. Going to be a nasty storm I think.

  3. Great notecard pics, Judith! I love the bridge photo, the hoarfrost on the berry tree, and the cute little birdfeeder. Too bad the squirrels chewed on it. I really enjoyed seeing your photos, including the pretty borders you put around them.

  7. You've captured so many beautiful textures in your photographs. I really like the hoarfrost one on the cherries? They look as if they might be cherries, but I'm having trouble imagining them not being harvested. Lovely scene by the lake as well...

  13. Snow looks so pretty. I don't like the cold so much but if I'm inside by the warm fire with a cup of hot coffee in my hands, I like to look out at it.

  26. Judith, how I LOVE your snowy Christmas note cards! Living in the southeastern United States, we only have a white Christmas about once every ten years. We had one two Christmases ago, and it was just beautiful.

I enjoyed seeing your picture with the hoar frost; I don't know that I've ever seen frost like that here. It's so picturesque!

Thank you for sharing and have a Joyous Christmas and a Blessed New Year.
