Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

Welcome friends for tea this week.  I'm flaunting my lavender collection because I have a new addition.
The teacup planter is sitting on the kitchen table right now with a small ivy inside.
The mugs on the left and right, gifts from our daughter and the one in the middle from blogging friend Trish.  The tray I found in Florida earlier this year.
The teapot that travelled all the way from Alaska with me.
A teabag holder I picked up somewhere along the way.
Something savoury today, a simple chicken salad sandwich with homemade cranberry sauce.
And, after years of searching I finally found a cup and saucer with lavender on it.  It holds as much tea as a mug.

Please join me for tea next week when I am having a giveaway.
Thank you to my gracious hosts, I hope you'll visit each of them and their guests for tea.

Your blog is so pretty and it reminds me so much of my precious Grandmother. She loved violets, pansies and any other purple flower. Gramma always smelled like violets and Oil of Olay.
Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving your kind comment.

Lavender is one of my favorite garden plants and seems so useful in many of the things i love, especially for the scent. I use it in decorating, cooking, and sachets for my linens. It is lovely to see there really are dishes & teacups celebrating this plant. Wat a beautiful collection you have. I especially like the teapot.

Judith! This was so fun to see your lavender collection. That cup is happy in your home that is for sure. There is something soft and calming about lavender - it's scent, color and everything. One of the very best recipes I made was strawberry lavender scones. . . it was out of this world. Wouldn't it be awesome to meet for tea and I could make those for YOU! YAAAA!!!

A darling find, Judith. And set off beautifully on the tartan tablecloth. I love that tartan – not sure which one it is but I'm heading to my tartan books to find out. (Once upon a time I was obsessed with Scotland and tartans – I have quite a nice library of reference books!)
