Crafting and Afternoon Tea

Welcome friends for tea.  Last week I invited five friends to come and make cards with a Stampin' Up instructor and afterwards we enjoyed afternoon tea together.  We had fun constructing the two cards and then sipping and eating autumn goodies I had baked.
Here they are, oblivious to me with the camera.  I just wish I had of thought to include our instructor in the photo.
I made the blend 'Afternoon Tea' from the Harrods gift trio brought back from England for me by our youngest daughter.
And we had with our tea...
 Cranberry buttermilk scones.
 Sunflower cupcakes.
Maple and oak leaf sugar cookies.
All ready on the kitchen cupboard.
Of course those goodies are long gone, so I baked again and made glazed pumpkin scones for us.  I got carried away with the orange gel and it looks like cheeze whiz on the scones but it is sweet, yummy icing.
And what could be better to have on a pumpkin scone, but pumpkin pie jam!
Thank you to my hosts and I hope you'll visit them and their guests.

  31. I am hoping to retire in June and then do exactly what you did with your friends. Many people ask me to teach book making classes, but as a teacher and volleyball coach I don't have the time. I can't wait to have the leisure to teach classes in my workspace and have tea parties in my garden.
