Simple Pleasures

The Labour Day long weekend is the last kick at the can of summer activities.   We headed north ourselves, avoiding the heavy traffic of cottage travelers by leaving late Friday afternoon.
We've brought one granddaughter back home after spending the summer with us and babysitting for our youngest daughter, and another granddaughter up to visit with her cousin.
Time has been spent visiting over tea, ice cream at the lake, and a fire at night with roasted marshmallows and wieners.
Last night after dinner I walked to Tim Horton's with our twin 16 year old granddaughters for pumpkin spice tea.  How nice to be treated to tea and a ginger cookie by a young lady that started her first job this summer.  I haven't been taking photos, just enjoying simple pleasures with family.
I hope everyone is enjoying ther long weekend too.

  1. You are certainly enjoying your weekend with family. Fall must be coming if the pumpkin spice tea is out at Timmy's.

  6. We often stop at Tim Horton's for coffee and a doughnut. I think the tea and cookie sounds terrific, especially with a granddaughter. How nice to have had a summer guest and how lovely to have things settle back down again into a normal pace.
