Pot of Gold

 I ordered seeds for 'Pot of Gold' container chard from Renee's Garden to try this year as they had offered me a selection of seeds to trial and write about.
 It was delicious sautΓ©ed in a bit of EVO and garlic,
and steamed in a pot with an inch or two of water in the bottom.
It is recommended that a container with at least a 12 inch diameter be used for sowing the seeds which can be harvested after about 50 days.  
A great container vegetable that can be grown where there is no room in the ground or on a balcony.

  3. The chard looks good. Dad used to grow it, but we haven't. Perhaps we should. As I scrolled through your blog, I feel the same boost that I feel when I cruse through the magazine aisle at the grocery store. I am trying to give up the magazine habit and it is blogs like yours that are helping me along.

  6. Your chard looks good, Judith. The only chard I have ever grown was Swiss chard and I found it quite pretty but it wasn't so delicious, at least in my mind. I think I need to try yours!

  7. This makes me want to go just make a fresh salad for lunch right now! I loved your post on tea... and wonder just how you do post and get the photos on via your iPad. I guess I need to go take a class but I just haven't found the time yet.
