Just in Time

I finally found something I've been looking for, and just in time.
Tomatoes are in season and I have been searching for an antique tomato server.
The pattern is Eternally Yours and my favourite antique dealer just brought it back from Ohio when I saw it in her new collection of things.
I've been busy and missed posting for August Break so these 3 photos will have to cover my absence:-)
Just in case you weren't aware, Barb from Bella Vista is closing down her blog, a fine lady that I know many of us will miss.

  1. I had no idea that those were tomato servers. It makes a lot of sense...no destroying the slice while serving. Hmmm...I must have one here somewhere.

  2. I wouldn't have known what that was. Very neat looking though and of course from Ohio makes it better. :)

  5. The tomato server is lovely! I had no idea; I think that I will have to check the local shops for one. I'm enjoying Roma tomatoes from my middle son and wife's garden. My vine is packed, but no ripe ones yet!

  9. Hi,Judith
What a lovely tomato server! I have one looking similar, but my one is not a real antique.I always admire your great sense!

It has been hot and humid here.According to the traditional Japanese calendar, yesterday was shosho, the limit of the heat.
    Enjoy your day,Judith.

  12. Your tomatoes look lovely, Judith. Enjoy them! I didn't know that piece was a tomato server. It looks like something in Grandma's silverware chest - I knew it was some type of server - thanks for the information. Have a wonderful week!
    Blessings, Beth
