Hot Fun in the Summertime

Hubby and I picked up a couple of Iced Caps from Tim Horton's and ventured down to the beach to enjoy them at a picnic table in the shade and watch the activities on this hot day.
Participating in August Break that can be found on my sidebar.

  1. AH - a refreshing cool dip in the water, how divine.

I REALLY miss water - won't ever shake it if I haven't in over twenty years!

Your end of summer swim fest looks like such fun, thanks for sharing!

    Have a wonderful weekend, Judith!

  2. Sometimes it's fun to sit and watch the children on the beach with none of the worry (too far? too deep?)that watching ones own grandchildren engenders!

  7. Hello, Judith

It seems plenty of people had a similar idea, although the shady spot sounds inviting to me.

By the way, did you have a wonderful/good/interesting time at the gardening convention? No need to reply during your August Break!

  9. I'm sure it was refreshing to sit and watch all the water fun! And I have to comment on your tomato server in your earlier post. Not long ago when I was breaking up my mother's home I came across her tomato server, very similar to the you have. IT immediately transported me to family dinners at our kitchen table--which was every night--In the summer Mom enjoyed serving us sliced fresh tomatoes and used that serving piece. I think she may have used it for meatloaf as well, but I always wondered if it was specifically designed for tomatoes as it was perfectly shaped for that. I think mine may even be a bit rounder. Now I know!

  12. Hi Judith,
What a perfect way to spend the day! Looks like fun! One of my favorite things to do. I love being near the water. The sounds of the waves, birds, kids playing and boats on the water. Have a nice week!
    Blessings,
    Lisa
