August Break - The Cups Runneth Over

Cup plant (Silphium perfoliatum) that gathers water where the stems meet the leaves.  They're running over with all the rain we're getting today.

  1. Lucky you getting rain, we only had some for a short period of time. Maybe today more will come.

  4. We're getting that same sweet rain today... Wish that other places that need it more could have some, too.

  5. Lovely photo, Judith. Would love for some of that rain to come our way! This our hottest summer on record since '65 they're saying. Great for the beach but not for the farmers' crops and flower gardens. Have a beautiful weekend.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  9. I've never heard of the Cup plant, but it looks pretty, and very summery. It looks lovely with the purple plant blooming nearby.

  10. I thought the puppy picture was a new addition to the family. We are supposed to have rain all weekend. The grass is getting green where it is not dead.
