Dependable Dayliles

I've been adding more daylilies to my gardens.  They're dependable perennials for flowers that don't need supplemental watering or fertilizing.
The more compact repeat blooming varieties are nice at the front of a border but a favourite tall one is my namesake 'Judith'.
It's been fun playing with a couple of the collage programs to make something different to link with Mary for Mosaic Monday.

  4. Hi Judith, I like the daylily in the top right corner. The darker pink centre pops on the orange/peach flower. Dayliles are a staple in my garden at this time of year. I hope you have a great week:)

  9. Very pretty mosaic...love the color combinations and the cute edging. Lilies are a staple in my flower garden. They pack a lot of punch even if they do only last a day.

  10. Your daylilies are absolutely beautiful. I love Judith and the pink one next to it with the darker pink throat. I love daylilies and have an increasing number. Who would have known a flower could have so many forms and colors.

  23. They are so pretty, aren't they? I've been adding a couple of lilies every year, now that we have a deer fence. I love the variety of colours and just jumble them all together.

  24. Oh Judith I love the lilies too. Not sure of their names except for de Ora. Yes we took our pond out because the waterfall was stacked rock and not cemented in on advice of our yardman. It keep falling forward and even though the grands are nearly grown they kept playing with the huge rock. Trying to step over the pond, etc. As our shade trees grew the leaves keep it a mess and too much work to keep them out. Put a screen over the pond but that detracted from the pond. Love your lavender as always.

  25. Beautiful collage! I think I have the very same lily (just opened today)! Now I can say Judith is at the front step! Unfortunately, it is so dry here all of my plants are needing more than a little supplemental water!

  27. So many varieties of day lilies...and so many lovely comments! I have just discovered the joy of growing daylilies myself this past spring/summer. We recently moved to this house, and I needed some color in front, so a friend suggested that I plant daylilies. They have been such fun to watch their daily blossoms! I have some double lilies that I really love!
Thank you for sharing yours with us!

  30. They're gorgeous! I've been taking pics of other people's lilies here in Oregon (we don't garden any more), but neither their lilies nor my pictures are as good as yours.
