Spring Violet tea

Welcome friends for tea this week.  Soon the the white and purple wild violets in the garden will be blooming so I've decided to use my Royal Albert violets teacup today.  Green tea is brewing.

I'm starting a cake decorating course this week and decided to give it a try on my own with cupcakes for Easter.
Hmm, the frosting needs some work but they tasted good and the sprinkles were pretty.
The potted Easter lily is making the house smell wonderful with its fragrance.
A bit of chartreuse in the centre not normally seen until the flowers are fully opened.
Come sit with us over tea and see what my hosts and their guests have to share.

Hi Judith, Loved seeing your pretty tea cup with the violets alongside, as well as the clump of violets. You do know they're edible, right? And you can sugar them and put them on your cupcakes. Your cupcakes look good. I look forward to hearing about your class. I will be happy to share pink forget me nots. If you'd like, I can mail you a start (plant) any time. They seem very hardy and I think there'd be no difficulty shipping them at all.
Hugs, Beth

I love the teacup! Violets are just coming up in my yard, rather late this year! Your cupcakes look wonderful! We had to go to an area town today for a meeting that boasts a cupcake shop. I was SOOO looking forward to it! But..alas, they are closed on Monday! Rats!!! Probably better anyway! Thanks for sharing and linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea.

We'll look forward to seeing some pretty cakes! I've always wished I could decorate a cake better than I do. Your teacup and violets are so pretty. I think I have a miniature teacup of that pattern. I wonder if they were made for children, these small sizes? Ah, I feel a post coming ... :-)

Hi Judith,
when I see all the pretty violets on tea cups in the blogland, I crave to have some, too. I have several cute things with violets except any china. Your cupcakes looks delicious and the lilies are sooo beautiful. I remember the heavy scent.
Best greetings, Johanna

I love the purple/orchid/lavender colors on your blog page. It reminds me of my mother-in-law, her favorite color. Your violet teacup is beautiful. I enjoyed an Easter lily this year too and its scent is lovely, indeed. Best wishes on your cake decorating class.
