Sunlit Carnations

During the winter where I live in Canada we have so many overcast days that by February the winter blues have hit numerous people.  Today the sun is out and a good opportunity to venture out of doors to soak up some of those vitamin D rays and the overall good feeling that comes from the sun on your face.
When the sun streams through the windows, fascinating shadows are created and various things within become illuminated.
I'm linking with Karen at My Little Home and Garden for her new meme 'Sunlit Sunday'.  Share the sunshine in your life.

  1. The sun on your face - such a pleasure after a long spell of gloomy weather. I remember many an Ontario winter day on which I dreamed of a sun strong enough to warm the top of my head!

  2. It is wonderful to feel the sun, if only through the window on a cold winter day. It looks lovely out today but there is a wind that is really making it cold. Lovely yellow carnations, one of my favourites.

The carnations look beautiful with the petals shimmering and basking in the light; what a nice January treat!
I hope you are enjoying your Sunday.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. The chair is very old. I think it belonged to my grandmother. It's in very good shape, but has been recovered. It sits next to an antique desk that was my grandmother's also.
I hope you had a great Sunday.
