White Lightning

The corn is ready in Ontario and there's nothing like piping hot sweet cobs dripping in butter.  There are several farms around us that grow corn which is really tasty and this year we were happy to discover White Lightning from one of them.
Snow white and sweeter than the peaches and cream variety we normally buy.
I'm linking with Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.

  4. Hi, Judith! We have been enjoying sweet corn too. We get it from various stands locally and is it ever good! I am not familiar with white lightning - sounds really wonderful, if it beats peaches and cream!

  5. I just love this time of the year for fresh corn right from the farmers field into the boiling water. I have not tried the white lightening variety. I will look for it at our local stand of Coopers corn to see if they have it. V

  11. Even the picture of it looks so crisp and tasty. Speaking of corn, I am making 4 doz. into a frozen creamed corn tomorrow. It's a recipe my friend gave me and we love it! So sweet and not too creamy.

  12. I don't know White Lightening at all, but I do know that there is nothing in the world like fresh Ontario corn, rolled in butter. We used to have at least one meal of just corn.
    I wish!

  16. hello Judith, you are lucky indeed to have fresh corn nearby. The corn in our garden needs another month of sunshine with frost free nights but that's very unlikely. Hope you've had a wonderful gardening summer!
