Christmas in July

When my friend Beth from Beyond the Garden Gate had a tea swap in June, I sent my parcel off to my partner Rett at The Gazebo House.   Unfortunately Rett's parcel for me got held up with the Canada Post lock-out of employees and sat for a good couple of weeks.
I was excited to see it finally appear last week (and so was Rett) and when I opened the box, it was like Christmas in July!
Welcome friends for tea as we join Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage, Bernideen for Tea in the Garden, Trisha at Sweetology and Kathy at A Delightsome Life for A Return to Loveliness, all very nice ladies that would love you to visit them and their guests for tea.
We'll have Earl Grey tea in my Lennox Butterfly Meadow mugs and I have some cheese scones for us.
If you're comfortable with your tea, I'll show you the contents of my parcel.
A large and small note pad with a tea pot.
Stamped bookmark with butterflies.
A sweet little book of tea quotes.
Kimberly Shaw card to invite a friend for tea.
A great selection of teas.
Lapel pin and frilly collars for tea drips.
Picnic basket trinket box that had chocolate inside.
Look at the tag with the shamrock cookie cutter.  Rett had gone through my blog to know all about me, what I needed or wanted.
A game to play with the grandchildren, how thoughtful is this?
And, I've saved the best for last, Rett is a talented lady with a sewing machine.
I've been looking for a monogrammed hand towel which I mentioned on a tea post one time, isn't this lovely?
My collection with a handwritten note from Rett.  Thank you so much for all the wonderful things you spoiled me with and indeed, it was like Christmas in July.

The mugs are beautiful and I love the white angel. Actually love every thing on the table. Sometimes "delayed" gifts are extra special treasures for sure. Have a lovely week.
