Tea in the Garden on Saturday #1

Although I'm usually showing tea in the afternoon, I thought it would be nice to have tea in the morning out in the garden.  Today is our first 'Tea in the Garden on Saturday' hosted by Bernideen at her Tea Time Blog.  Ladies in the tea blogging circle are familiar with Bernideen and wait until you see the garden tea from last year she's featuring.
My gardens are just starting to awaken with the magnolia buds beginning to break.
A few daffodils are open with more yearning for sunshine instead of the rain we've been having.
It would have been lovely to have the magnolia in bloom as my backdrop but as this was not to be I set a small table up in front of one of the gardens.
A molasses bran muffin with marmalade, a few raspberries and a muscari bloom tucked in to have with tea.

I've just purchased 'Death by Darjeeling' by Laura Childs to read.  It's the first book of her Tea Shop Mystery series and should be the perfect read while sipping tea.
Thank you Bernideen for hosting today and I wish all my blogging friends a Happy Mother's Day.

Zinnia

  5. What a lovely inspiration! I always set up a nice little cafe area on our porch in the spring for my husband and I to enjoy our mornings together, I hadn't taken the time to get it set up and your sweet post has motivated me in that direction~ Jacque

  8. Good morning Judith,
What a lovely tea in the garden! The magnolia bud is such a pretty colour and your tea cup is lovely! I hardly had time for a cup this past weekend, we were so busy! As much as I enjoy celebrations, I do enjoy my quiet times! Have a beautiful day.

    Blessings,
    Sandi
