Life in Stages

One thing I look forward to in the garden is watching the tiny spring-like looking caterpillars evolve into the mature larvae they become.  Black swallowtails like dill and Queen Anne's Lace that I plant for them as a caterpillar host plant.  For nectar, the adults visit the plentiful purple cone flowers which are a favourite for many other butterflies.
I'm linking with Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.

  6. I'm really looking forward to the caterpillars that become beautiful butterflies. Let us all plant enough flowers to make them grow big and strong!

  10. It's so wonderful to see some life again in the garden. The only creatures I don't look forward to seeing are the mosquitos, Japanese Beetles and Yellow Jackets!

    Lovely mosaic!
