A Rainy Day Lavender Tea

Welcome for tea, my friends.  I'm linking with Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday and Kathy at A Delightsome Life for A Return to Loveliness.
I can't complain about the rainy, overcast weather we're experiencing today because the last few days were warm and sunny, perfect for gardening.  Besides, this gives me a chance to catch up on housework.
I love using this china lavender teapot that I've shown many times before and carted all the way back to Ontario from Alaska last year.  I've even brewed some lavender tea.
A matching pair of mugs was received for Mother's Day a few years back which made it very exciting to find the teapot.  A vintage napkin with a lacy lavender border and tea time can be as feminine without the use of a cup and saucer.
A butterfly sugar cookie sits atop a deep purple flower blossom plate.
I am happy to show a new book I have from Victoria, the magazine by the same name is well known.  Kathy had a fun questionnaire for the participants of her Spring Celebration with Victoria and although I did not win, Vee who did, requested the books she was to receive be shared with the runners up.  I had no idea what would come in the mail but let me tell you, this book captivated me with the tablescapes, lace, books, flowers.....a real treasure to have and browse through again with my cup of lavender tea.
The pretty fairy with the lavender wings was a sneaky gift from a friend.  She phoned me to say she'd seen a fairy flying about one of my gardens and I should go out to investigate.  She was perched on a rock when I found her, hidden a bit from last year's dying foliage so I quickly captured her and brought her inside.  Thank you again my friend.
On my tea table are a few other lavender things, dried flower spikes woven with purple ribbon, a sachet and hand towel.  The canister of lavender tea is just visible behind the teapot and a laminated picture of the herb stands in an iron display rack.
Thank you for joining me this week and please do visit my gracious hostesses and the participants of their memes.
