A Gift of Friendship

I have encountered the nicest ladies since I started blogging and have become friends with a few.  How many times have you read that someone is collecting certain items and the next thing they know, a reader has found a piece and sends it to them.  Others mail cards and little gifts as an act of friendship.  There's no doubt in my mind that bloggers are the most caring, giving and thoughtful people.
I met Eva from the Czech Republic when she emailed to say she liked my blog but doesn't have one herself.  We've shared photos of our families and for my birthday, Eva sent me a really nice card she made on her computer.
The weekly tea parties I participate in fascinate my friend and she has sent me pictures of some of the desserts she makes.  One day she sent  a note to say she was embroidering a cloth for me which arrived last week.  Eva knows me well through my blog and the cloth is such a gift from the heart.

The sweet kitty postcard from Eva, the lovely lady herself, a peach-type cobbler she makes (drobenkovy kolac) and the cloth with the butterfly embroidered for me.  Thank you Eva for your wonderful gift and your friendship.
I'm linking with Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.

  2. What a lovely post. I'm a new blogger and haven't had a lot of experience, but I will agree that the people I have met are very kind and considerate. I probably would have quit in frustration already if it wasn't for the encouragement received. The pain of learning to operate a blog is very much offset by the pleasure of good company.

  7. How sweet of Eva to share with you the darling card & that cobbler looks deelish!

I must share with you that we had the most wonderful trip to the Czech Republic, the people were quiet but very nice ... the country is very interesting in the architecture & statues & excellent rivers ... the gaudy colors they use in painting adorned their buildings from the dark grey of cement ... the restoration was truly amazing to watch before ones eyes.

Yes, we do meet lovely friends ...

    Happy April ~
