An Easter Tea

Welcome friends to my Easter tea which is being hosted by Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage.  I want to show you the yellow carnations sitting on my tea cart.  When the sun was streaming through the kitchen window this morning, several of the flowers were illuminated which made me stop and admire how beautiful they appeared.
The temperatures in Ontario dipped drastically the last couple of days with a white-out snow storm yesterday but we are promised more spring-like weather again by Wednesday.
I bought a cute lavender teacup planter to use on my table and although the pansies aren't fully open yet, in a few days their cheery faces will all be peeking over the rim.
I've brewed loose leaf strawberry fields tea  and I'm using my Studio Nova 'Garden Bloom' tea pot, cream and sugar that has pretty pansies on it.
There are no teacups in the china cabinet with pansies on so the next best thing is 'Sweet Violets' from Royal Albert.
I baked some chocolate cupcakes, not as fancy as Sandi's but decorated with what you'd expect from me.....spring time butterflies.

My previous post of Easter through a child's eyes is what many of us experience with young ones around.  Now that our family, including the grandchildren are growing up, Easter is more about  gathering and enjoying our time together.
Kathy at A Delightsome Life shares the beauty and celebration of life as often found in Victoria magazine.  I hope you'll visit both of my hosts while sipping a cup of tea.

Your teacup planter is beautiful, nothing like Pansys to sing spring:-) I have a BIG teacup and always wonder why it's so big, I use it for soup, maybe it was a planter, haha!
I too have a fondess for violets and almost used my cup today, we woulda be like two girls showing up in the same dress:-))
