Taking a Break

I'm going to be taking a break from my blog for some relaxation time and to recharge.  Spring is just around the corner and for me that means garden club meetings starting up again, seminars to attend and to give.  And, of course getting out in the garden again starting with late winter pruning in March.
Before I take this break, I'd like to host a small tea party for my friends as I'll miss Sandi's Tea Time Tuesday next week.
Isn't this tea pot adorable?  It was a birthday gift I received this week from my friend who is 91.  She said as soon as she saw it, she thought of me....what a sweet lady.
As luck would have it, hubby and I went to a bakery we've heard about and I picked us up a treat.
Mmm, chocolate croissants.
I purchased a set of 8 of these napkins from an antique place recently.  Two had damaged inserts but I was able to find crochet cotton to match and repaired them.
I don't have a black and white teacup to keep with the theme, but this black one with the pink inside will do nicely for some fragrant chocolate chai tea.
Thanks for visiting and having a little sociabili-tea with me.

  1. Happy Birthday Judith. Have a lovely relaxing vacation. Don't worry about us freezing up here. LOL. Beautiful teapot. One more for your growing collection. V

  11. Enjoy your break! I just want to tell you that I have a teacup very similar to the one in your header picture. I'm not sure if it has the line around the inside of the cup though. It was my first teacup and given to me by the furniture store my parents bought my "Hollywood" bed in.
