Friends

Each friend represents a world in us,
a world possibly not born until they arrive,
and it is only by this meeting
that a new world is born.
Anais Nin

My 'tea with friends' post each week celebrates the friendships we have, new and old.  I've come to know many new friends through blogging and appreciate that you come to visit and leave such kind comments.
Not everyone has a blog themselves nor leaves a comment but they still like to have a look at the topics I post. (you know who you are)  I recently met a lovely lady and grandmother like me, Eva, from the Czech Republic when she emailed to say she liked my blog.  We've corresponded a few times and are getting to know one another.
This tea in honour of friends is for you Eva and all the other wonderful ladies I've met and come to know through this blog, thank you all for your friendship.
A blueberry pecan coffee cake is one dessert I like to serve when friends come for tea.
I have a new teacup to share, given to me by a friend and the inside is like a beautiful garden with a pale lavender on the outside.  The design is the well known Paragon.
The dainty napkins are some I picked up at the antique barn.
Today I'll brew a pot of Afternoon's Tea for us that is a blend of rooibos and Ceylon flavoured with vanilla and caramel.
I have several wonderful tea books and I've put The Essential Tea Companion on the table to leaf through.
A bouquet of pink carnations adds a delicate scent to our tea table.
Thank you for joining me this week and I hope you'll visit our host Sandi, from Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday and also Kathy at A Delightsome Life to celebrate the loveliness of life, including tea.

  12. How can I not feel special when I come into this room. The table is beautiful and welcoming. I feel as if I could sit down and sip my tea and we'd talk and look through your tea book. You'd tell how you've been and what you have planned for the week. I'd promise to bring a recipe for you next time.

    Hugs,
    Susie
