Tea with Friends - Afternoon Tea

Welcome to Tea with Friends when I join Sandi from PEI at Rose Chintz Cottage for her Tea Time Tuesday.
Afternoon tea is a special time for me to relax and  read a book or magazine.  I hope you'll brew yourself some tea to sip as you join us.
In the photo below, taking tea with friends has always been a valued social ritual.
The photo is from one of my favourite books 'The Perfect Afternoon Tea' by Antony Wild and Simona Hill.
When a friend came for dinner with her husband before Christmas, she brought me an unusual looking package in tissue paper.  Urging me to open it right away, I was pleasantly surprised to find a lovely Royal Albert cup and saucer under the wrappings.
The next day I had some peppermint tea in it along with some peanut butter oatmeal cookies.
I was in a mall after the holidays just poking around looking at the reduced items when I found this tea caddy at The Bombay Company.  It was too good a deal to pass up so it came home with me to hold some of the teas my husband bought me for Christmas.
Thank you for visiting me for tea today and I hope you will come back next week.

  12. Hello my friend,
Sorry I'm late getting around for my visits. My son was home and we just saw him off at the airport. Your teacup and tea book are very nice! Your new tea caddy is lovely and I don't blame you for taking it home with you! As always, you serve a very nice tea and it has been a pleasure to visit with you again. Have a wonderful week, Judith.

    Blessings,
