Wall and Yard Art

A while back I said I’d show the wrought iron pieces we have in our yard.  Some are incorporated into the landscape while others have become wall art.

Looking through the arbour from the sidewalk at the front

I’ve shown our custom made  arbour before and this is several years ago when the front was first planted.  I like looking at this picture to see how small the trees and shrubs were back then.

north wall

The butterfly pots on the north wall have pink begonias planted in them each year and the mirrors reflect the light to make the area appear brighter.

The mailbox by the front door is for papers delivered as we have to pick up our mail at a green box location on the next street over.

This ornament on the south wall is one of my favourites; anything with a fleur-de-lis captures my interest.

Fleur de lis

I bought one of these stakes for each wrought iron pot ; one is  in the front…..

and the other seen here is in the back.

Victorian tree guard
The Victorian tree guard is by far the best find ever.  An artisan was at a large craft show one year with beautifully handcrafted iron and I carried this about 3/4 of a mile back to my car – but it was worth it!

And above is another piece that hangs on the east wall of the house; many of them get a coat of lavender paint.

To end my wall art, I wanted to show the bunnies that are not made of wrought iron but a durable resin.  They hang on the privacy fence behind our hot tub.

I’m linking with Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.
