Tea with Friends - Antique finds

On Saturday hubby and I went on a Christmas tour of country businesses along the highway where we live.  They call themselves 'the group of seven' and all are privately owned (no big box stores) several are home decor stores, my favourite florist (Lavender Floral) and an antique place called Nightengables that is run from their very old and original Victorian home.
It's the items I bought at Nightengables I want to share for tea today.  There were all kind of linens hanging from wooden clothes horses and two were calling to me.

This lace table topper is in perfect condition and was reasonably priced, as was everything.

A plain white runner that has exquisite white embroidery of scrolls and flowers.

The little cloche set was labeled a mustard dish.

I really do have enough cups and saucers but the hint of pink with purple flowers of this Tuscan 'Montrose' set will go well with my Lavender Rose teapot.

I was outside creating my winter urn for the front door and wondered if there would be anything to pick for the table and like I've seen on other blogs, just the silver dusty miller that's still producing buds.

And now for tea; ginger-peach herbal tea is steeping in the pot and we have crisp ginger snap cookies to have with it today.
Our host for Tea Time Tuesday is Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage.
I'm also linking with Kathy at A Delightsome Life for her Celebration of Victoria.  Victoria is a magazine that features all things Victorian and Kathy is hosting a 'Christmas with Victoria' party on December 6.  Visit her blog to sign up if this style of decor is yours.

  1. Hello Judith,
Sounds like you had a wonderful outing! I love your new table topper; love Battenburg lace! Everything looks lovely and the Lavender Rose teapot always looks just right! The silver dusty miller is so pretty in the little crystal vase and really makes for a nice centerpiece. I also have a little mustard dish but it's not nearly as pretty as yours. Thank you for joining me for tea and I hope you are having a lovely week.
